Aik thi Nigar - Telefilm Review

I'm so honoured to have the opportunity to write something to appreciate a true gem of our country, the very first woman Lieutenant General, Nigar Johar Khan

The film premiered on ARY Digitial on 23rd October. This biopic is written by Umera Ahmed.

I'm truly amazed to watch the biography of such an inspirational and brave woman. This is the freedom that we want. This is what we women want from this society, that they change their mindset. So what if she's a woman? She can do everything, every single thing, which a man can or can't do. If a woman can give a birth to a child, then she can face every danger, tough situation and compete it with her whole heart and strength.

This story gives women the goal of surviving in each and every situation of her life.

Nigar Johar, She was an obedient daughter, a kind sister, a brilliant student, a talented girl, who could do every chores of her house and also have a creative mind, she stood up for her ambition but never showed disobedience to her parents, a hard-working girl and a gentle friend who always motivate her friends, a loving, caring and respectful wife and a truly motivated woman, who wants to serve her county. What was the thing which she didn't face bravely? She lost almost her whole family at once, but she stood up strong. She lost her biggest supporter, her husband, still she upholds. She served numerous injured army officers with her strength.

This scene is an answer for those people who think "Chupkali se darne wali qoum kuch nahi karsakti". We can do everything yet, we just need immense support of such great fathers, brothers and husbands, like she gets, who support us in all possible ways.

I also want to give an appreciation to the Late Retired Major, Johar Khan, who gave such a wholehearted support to Nigar Johar, so that she stood strong and fulfilled her goals. His immense support gave us such a gem of a lady. If he had not given her that much support, we would have never had a such outstanding officer. His love and support too incredible to describe and express in words. I think this is the time for all girls, who fantasize fictional characters to change their dreams from those to this real life example of true heroic man, Johar Khan, and change yourself to become another real life example of a heroic woman like, Nigar Johar.

Alhamdulillah, ALLAH PAK made her so strong so that the other women get inspired by her.

So, all the women who are reading this, make a promise to yourself now that you will make your goals and make sure whenever you die, you have a strong feeling that you have worked hard to fulfill your goals. Same goes for all the men who are reading this. Make a promise to yourself that you will become a support system to all the women, who want to go far in their life and help them achieve their goals.

A big thank you to ARY digital for giving us a chance to watch such an inspirational story of Lt. General Nigar Johar. A great work by the whole team. All the actors played a great role especially, Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf, who gave us the true feel of this biopic.
