Happy Defense Day - Salute to our Martyrs

 “Aye watan tera bhala ho….”

The Youthistan team wishes a very Happy Defence day! to all of our fellow Pakistanis!

We celebrate this day in remembrance of the War of 1965, when India cowardly attacked our soil. Brave men of our army, navy and airforce, at once jumped in fully armed with weapons and their IMAAN in Allah. Pakistan was up against an enemy twice its size, yet our civilians and our soldiers alike did not give up. With the stories of the past, specifically of Jung-e-Badr, that no matter how strong and big the enemy, a Muslim does not give up. A Muslim’s faith in Allah eventually results in their victory against all odds. What a lesson for us Muslims!

“Watan ki mitti gawah rehna!”

So many stories of sacrifice and bravery in just one war. It is impossible to mention all of them, but you’ve probably read many of them or heard from your elders! Pakistan is the symbol of freedom, born out of the immense struggle of our elders. Even today, this struggle continues as our enemies grow in numbers and work tirelessly to weaken us. But we will continue to fight on every platform, for our country and its bright future. Because we have a firm belief in our Quaid’s words:

“There’s no power on earth that can undo Pakistan.”

“Aye watan ke sajeele jawano….”

So many martyrs, so many families lost their only support. On this day, we salute those brave families who send their children to fight for their motherland. A brave sacrifice must always be honoured. So what if we can’t all head down to the border to fight for our country? The least we can do is contribute to its bright future! Pakistan has tons of potential but its people lack the opportunities to excel in this world, but if you don’t have the opportunity, then that does not mean that you should give up on it! Keep fighting for your dream, no matter how hard it seems. Make your own opportunity! Such is the lesson we lean from the brave men of the Pakistan Movement.

Pakisatn Zindabad!
